Welcome to Obamaville

Sign at homeless camp: ‘Welcome to Obamaville’

http://www.wnd.com/images/091212obamaville.jpg
Residents of Colorado Springs, Colo., have a mystery on their hands: Who came up with the idea to erect a sign reading “Welcome to Obamaville” on the site of a homeless tent camp in the city?

The sign, which was visible from the Cimarron Street ramp to Interstate 25, clearly conveyed a political jab at rising unemployment under President Barack Obama, for it read in full, “Welcome to Obamaville – Colorado’s fastest growing community.”

Colorado television station KRDO first reported on the sign earlier this week, but without any identifying logos or clues to the sign’s origin, the station launched a public appeal for information on the sign’s author.

KRDO got its first clue when Spencer Swann of Colorado Canyon Signs confessed to constructing the sign, though he denied it was his idea and still refuses to divulge for whom he built it. He did, however, explain that there was more to the sign’s intent than criticizing the sitting president:

“You mention his name, you get some attention – I think that was the whole idea behind it,” Swann told KRDO. “I didn’t dream it up, but I thought it was a good idea. I thought that it would help some of these guys down here.”

Public reaction on the KRDO website has been mixed over the sign’s message:

“Lay the blame where you will, I think it is a hoot and a great historical throwback to Hooverville,” wrote a reader named daman in an online comment. “These are the worst times I’ve seen in my 40-plus years, and I am glad my kids get to see it early. Maybe they’ll learn to grow and be compassionate, yet personally fiscal conservatives.”

A poster named Nick, however, was critical: “That is pretty low to use a right-wing political agenda and attack the homeless during the worst recession in a generation and especially during the holidays.”

Swann, however, says he’s received nothing but support:

“I’ve had 100 calls today,” Swann told the station, “and not a single one of them was negative.”

Nonetheless, Swann has since replaced the “Obamaville” sign with another, which reads, “Please help. We need firewood, propane and canned food.”

In response to some criticism that the money used to build the signs should have been used to help the homeless instead, Swann told KRDO that though the original “Obamaville” sign cost around $150, he didn’t charge the unknown creator for either sign. Furthermore, he said, the instigator of the “Obamaville” sign is already involved with helping the homeless:

“He gives them money, he gives them food, he gives them support,” said Swann.

As for his own motivations for building the sign, and doing so without charge, Swann told KRDO, “I thought it was just something to draw attention and help those folks.”

Here we go again with Poor Obama..............I dont think people forgot anything and if you think that Obama is better than Bush then you are the one that is being fooled.

For the last 60 years we have lived under the same Illuminati's rule that we are under today.

The only way around this is US, all of US so when all of the Obama crowd decides to see the full picture, things may change.

Republicans are no different than Democrats..........besides its just a name

we need to stop stereo-typing by race, religiion and political party. So silly

It's not the presidents , it's the congress, house and senate and the illuminatti. They are out of control with spending, consider this -who in their right mind would pass a contract (health care) where the premiums to pay for it would start 4 years before anyone is covered and still leave 25 million without health care , WHAT ARE THEY DOING???????. I mean you wouldn't buy a car today and start making payments but you couldn't pick it up until 2014 would you???

Were on borrowed money and now their trying to front load their expenses/ bills because they can't afford what they want, reasonable thought is completely gone as arrogant self righteous behavior of I am the king is in full play. I'm just waiting for what they did in the King Louy Days in france , one of the kings, when the king took a dump , they paraded down the street and everone clapped because the king took a #2 . Were almost there in this country with are so called elected leaders.

I agree with trseeker, don't get caught up with the president debate , thats equivalent to a minor rash on your behind.

Congress ... Since you are mentioning it ... I know for a fact that Congress is Illuminati ... and your in denial of it ... It would not matter who got in to office ... None of you would be satisfied ... You need to walk your talk ... Know what your talking about ... so I don't agree with you ... No big deal ... We all have the right to think what we want ... now don't we ... smiling ...wingmaker

First of all.............Obama got the presidency the same way they all did.

They were selected not elected. You can continue to pat yourself on the back as it makes no difference to me.

I could change my name but it would not change my views. I am very much awake and aware of what is happening to our world. Its funny that my name should bother you at all.

The only change I want is to see the world the way our Creator always had planned.

Hey wingmaker , I like your blue letters but no substance in your comment, the real concern is this, when the founding fathers signed the Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence we had ( 0 ) dependency on the government to live.

There is now 40% of americans dependent on the U.S. government to live. Mathamatical law states that when you have more numbers taking out than putting in eventually the well runs dry. Were almost there and many in the working class, the hard working everyday americans know it. Not the mucky mucks on wall street or DC. The people who pay the taxes like you I hope. Were talking about straight math here, not who you like or dislike. Thats pretty simple.

I bet it scares you that some people have and are capable of a lot of things behind the scenes ... Hey I am not trying to make a believer out of you but it does bother you that I might just have something you don't have... It's called Mind Bending Power ... and there are a lot of us who have it ... but your not one of them ... You would rather 3 D rationalize your inadequacies by making me feel like I am in ego ... I smell Revolution in the air ...and it is programmed into the future ... So is the pandemic ... but it is having a hard time getting off the ground this pandemic ... it is man-made by the illuminati and it is part of the 6th timeline ... that of the illnesses overlapping with our timeline of the 13th for which we inhabit ... the illiminati want the populations down by a few billions ... So a few million people survive ... then they won't have to worry about running out of tax payer money ... the end of 2010 will show signs of the abyss coming about ... bet you can't wait ... it is only one years away to final economic ruin ... because that is where we are headed folks. wingmaker

Wingmaker, Nothing to Offer ? I, me, myself have made more of a contribution to this world than most and probably way more than you'll ever even think about, Over my career in business I've employed over 400 people and can't even begin to tell you how many thousands to charity including my time. At age 30 I was employing over 50 people at my company at 40k a week in payroll and I started 10 years prior to that with a $100.00 truck and a dream. I also served 4 years in the military protecting distinguished (way overstated) individuals as yourself. So when you talk about winers , complainers, walking and talking , may I suggest you drink a gallon of that stuff you've been drinking today and get some rest. The vortex your in is deflating very rapidly.

You can defend Obama if need be as for most of us we can see thru the game of red and blue parties and realize the only thing different is the fact that the name changes the agenda remains the same . They (parties) are both guilty of wasting huge amounts of money on things when that money would have been better spent else where on other things.

Just for fun, I thought I'd share this joke I heard, lame but maybe good for a chuckle:

George W Bush dies and goes to Hell... no surprise there. He gets down there and the devil says:

"Ok since you lived your life in worship of me- I know this IS HELL but you can have some special privileges- but for a price..."

"Ok, great" says Bush, "Like what?"

"Well, for one you can use the phone to talk to your cronies who are still among the living. But there is a very high long distance rate." The Devil says.

"YEAH! YEAH! Gimme the phone!" Bush jumps up immediately, excited.

The Devil starts to explain the long distance rate to him, but Georgie boy doesn't care:

"I can afford it" he says...

So George talks on the phone, calls up one of his Bonesman friends and chews the fat for about 10 minutes...

Looking over at the devil he asks:

"By the way, what do I owe you so far for this call?"

"4 million dollars" says the devil

"Holy Cow!!!" exclaims Bush "That IS pricey!!"

But he goes on talking anyway. A little while later, after making a few more calls he asks the devil again:

"How much do I owe you now?"

"36 Trillion dollars" he says.

Bush goes on talking in spite of this. When he finally hangs up the phone, hours later he asks the devil:

"So what's my grand total? How much is this going to run me?"

"Nothing" says the devil.

"NOTHING? Are you sure??" asks Bush, flabbergasted.

"Yeah," begins the devil

"We thought YOU were our guy up there, but since Obama took office the whole country has gone to Hell.... so those were all local calls"

Re: Welcome to Obamaville

I hope this doesn't turn into a "here we go again," thing.

It's one thing to have special gifts and another to rub people's noses in it. As to what I consider is special is not the same as what some might consider as special. If you have special gifts and you use them by running over the free will agency of another whether the intent was good or bad, you still have violated that gift. You will also have to be accountable or take responsibility for it. It can't be all that special if people feel threatened by it.

Mntruthseeker is right on when she says they, our Presidents, have been selected and not elected. All these officials are puppets on a string. I have also had the Puppet Masters tell me so on one hand and then tell me that there isn't a darn thing you can do about it, on the other. The Illuminati are not the bosses either as they take their orders from the Draconians, although they may appear as such. So when I get notified like this, from the PTB, I know I found out something and that something drew their attention because they don't want anyone to know they are there doing it in the first place. Operating from the shadows is where their power lies.

I honor those who do have or have found their gifts. And use them from a position of humbleness. In service. What really tickles me is when an Ascended Master, God of our Universe, or the Prime Creator gives me their blessing, with a humanly type phrase of acknowledgment. Such as "GO FOR IT." The last time that happened, my monitor seemed like it was going to blow up because of the charge that was sent through. The blessing is something I always seek as it tells me that what I am about to do will be done with the greatest benefit for all concerned.

I do not use these gifts, because I have them, to violate the free will gift we all have. When you do not stand in Divine light and do this, you are no better than the PTB.

Now since I am under Obama's so called watch, I can't say my situation in the present is his fault, because I'm still being effected by past administrations, such as the Clintons and both Bush administrations, Dad & Son. I can only look at the numbers and our current deficit. Also how anyone is adding to it. If you're adding to it then I have only two words in response to that. "YOU SUCK." Whoever is doing that. Now if I write a bad check a couple of times, it is considered as fraudulent , and they send me to jail. But when our Government does it, they get a raise.

Also if I voted, I would be voting for more of this behavior. It goes against my character so I don't vote. And if you do under this type of paradigm, you are only enabling it. And if someone is going to try and bend my mind around that, you can forget it. You aren't that special if you want to bend my mind to support a government that is composed of crooks. That includes Obama. Get real, pleeaassee. I also could care less what someone else has. If it makes you happy, great. The important thing is I know what I do have and what I do with that, that is in alignment with the Creator. That's all I have to concern myself with. So whatever...

Feeding trolls is not exclusive to getting into an argument with them, responding to them and getting offended at what they say is enough for them to cause chaos.

Remember guys, we really do need a joint effort here!

Re: Welcome to Obamaville

The thing with Obama, is that with Bush, people knew what they were getting, an evil old man, so not much of the illusion fell, but some certainly did. People thought a bad seed got voted in. With Obama the supposed Bush regime savior, accomplished far worse than Bush and spent far more money than all Presidents combined. That leaves a deeper crack and exposes a bigger picture of how bad things really are. This camp shows the Change you can believe in.
