Empathy
Transllation One day on Earth… Empathy is a notion designating a mechanism through which an individual can understand The feelings and emotions of another individual. The ability to identify yourself to another and to feel what he feels His feelings and in particular his suffering and distress An emotion much bigger than beliefs and differences That unables us to enter in the perceptions of another, to feel his fear, his anger , his tenderness To temporarily live his life and to move into it with care and without judgement To look for common points before the differences And there are always more common points than differences The essence , the heart and the soul The human warmth is when you offer yourself without expecting anything in return Simply share so as not to spoil a life And to help those that don’t have that ability And despite all difficulties keep that force , that will give a heart blow to those who need it Just a litle attention And give the right to everyone to exist A feeling much higher than instinct and the food chain A feeling that unables us to take care of another And to share the litle we possess And to help each other to keep warm Or to protect one another Be able to share happiness, tenderness, protection and complicity We all need human warmth We all need affection and to feel at home amongst our brothers Despite appearances without ever relying on the outside look only Without ever minding language Because it is something invisible to the eye but that is not without fragrance Final definition Science has proved that the difference between man and animal was exactly empathy BUT.. BUT… BUT Homicide … Guilt… Iniquity … I am well aware that with this video I invite some to question themselves But to question oneself is to put oneself in command of one’ s life and to realize we Have lost the foundation of humanity Actually speaking of empathy .. between men or between animals ...? Empathy
Author: George Eliot (English novelist) Oh, the comfort, the inexpressible Comfort of feeling safe with a person, Having neither to weight thoughts, Nor measure words--but pouring them All right out--just as they are Chaff and grain together, Certain that a faithful hand will Take and sift them, Keep what is worth keeping, And with the breath of kindness Blow the rest away. love and light to you mudra bou x |

This is a fantastic lesson to us all, we lock these creatures away for our amusement in zoos etc. They could well be the teachers we are waiting for to show us the way to harmony, empathy and living together as creatures of this earth.
Thankyou Mudra, a simply fantastic find.. |

Blessings Beloved All,
Empathy, like all gifts from the soul, is a double edged sword. Just as my smile will be infused into others, so their frown can invade me. So smile often. All Love, :original: |

The elephant and the monk: a story of compassion
Once there lived a strong, young elephant named Meruprabh. One day a part of a huge forest caught fire and the fire spread rapidly, fanned by strong winds. The animals were scared. When would the fire stop? Meruprabh along with 700 other elephants cleared one part of the forest of vegetation to prevent the fire from spreading. This clearing became a haven for animals seeking shelter from the fire and they huddled there till the fire went out. Animals who normally hunted each other now sat or stood close in amity. Fear was palpable. Love Always mudra |

A true story of two lost dogs as read by author Rose De Dan to her dog, Puma, from her book "Tails of a Healer: Animals, Reiki and Shamanism." The events in this story took place in Worcester, Mass. several years before the author took any formal training in animal communication.
Inspired by the Dalai Lama and his focus on compassionate living, this video lovingly portrays the miracles that can happen when you communicate from your heart. Thanks for watching! Love Always mudra |

Re: Empathy
The first step in spiritual life is to have compassion. A person who is kind and loving never needs to go searching for God. God rushes toward any heart that beats with compassion-it is God's favorite place.

Re: Empathy
The following story was sent to me by Tango ...
I share it with you In Phoenix , Arizona , a 26-year-old mother stared down At her 6 year old son, who was dying of terminal leukemia. Although her heart was filled with sadness, She also had a strong feeling of determination. Like any parent, she wanted her son to grow up & Fulfill all his dreams. Now that was no longer possible.. The leukemia would see to that. But she still Wanted her son's dream to come true.... She took her son' s hand and asked, 'Billy, did you ever think about what you wanted To be once you grew up? Did you ever dream and wish what you would Do with your life?' Mommy, 'I always wanted to be a fireman When I grew up.' Mom smiled back and said, 'Let's see if we can Make your wish come true.' Later that day she went to her local fire Department in Phoenix , A rizona , where she met Fireman Bob, who had a heart as big as Phoenix She explained her son's final wish and Asked if it might be possible To give her 6 year-old son a ride around the block on a fire engine Fireman Bob said, 'Look, we can do Better than that. If you'll have your son ready at Seven o'clock Wednesday morning, we'll make Him an honorary Fireman for the whole day. He can come down to the fire station, eat with us, Go out on all the fire calls, the whole nine yards! And if you'll give us his sizes, we'll get a real fire uniform For him, with a real fire hat - not a toy -- one-with the emblem of the Phoenix Fire Department on it, a yellow slicker like we wear and rubber boots.' 'They're all manufactured right here in Phoenix , So we can get them fast.' Three days later Fireman Bob picked up Billy, Dressed him in his uniform and escorted him from his hospital bed t o the waiting hook and ladder truck. Billy got to sit on the back of the truck And help steer it back to the fire station. He was in heaven. There were three fire calls in Phoenix that day And Billy got to go out on all three calls. He rode in the different fire engines, The Paramedic's' van, And even the fire chief's car. He was also videotaped for the Local news program. Having his dream come true, With all the love and attention that was lavished upon him, so deeply touched Billy, that he lived three months longer than any doctor thought possible. One night all of his vital signs began to Drop dramatically and the head nurse, who believed In the hospice concept - that no one should die alone, began to call the family members to the hospital. Then she remembered the day Billy had spent As a Fireman, so she called the Fire Chief and Asked if it would be possible to send a fireman In uniform to the hospital to be with Billy as he made his transition. The chief replied, 'We can do better than that. We'll be there in five minutes.. Will you please do me a favor? When you hear the sirens screaming and see the Lights flashing, will you announce over the PA system that there is not a fire?' 'It's the department coming to see one of its finest members one more time. And will You open the window to his room?' About five minutes later a Hook and ladder truck arrived at the hospital and extended its ladder up to Billy's third floor open window-------- 16 fire-fighters climbed up the ladder into Billy's room With his mother's permission, they hugged him and held him and told him how much they LOVED him. With His dying breath, Billy looked up at the fire chief and said, 'Chief, am I really a fireman now?' 'Billy, you are, and The Head Chief, Jesus, is holding your hand,' the chief said With those words, Billy smiled and said, 'I know, He's Been holding my hand all day, and The angels have been Singing..' He closed his eyes one last time. My Instructions were to send this to at least four People that I Wanted God to bless and I picked you. Please pass this to at Least four people you Want To be blessed. This Story is powerful and there is nothing attached, PLEASE Do not break this pattern; Uplifting stories are one of the best Gifts we receive. There is no cost, but a lot of rewards, let's Continue to uplift one another~ Pass this story on. True Story |

Re: Empathy
Empathy in Action
An Experiment in Gratitude Sometimes we forget to take the time to recognize the richness that defines our lives. This may be because many of the messages we encounter as we go about our affairs prompt us to think about what we don’t have rather than all the abundance we do enjoy. Consequently, our gratitude exists in perpetual conflict with our desire for more, whether we crave time, convenience, wealth, or enlightenment. Yet understanding and truly appreciating our blessings can be as simple as walking a mile in another’s shoes for a short period of time. Because many of us lead comparatively insular lives, we may not comprehend the full scope of our prosperity that is relative to our sisters and brothers in humanity. If you find taking an inventory of your life’s blessings difficult, consider the ease with which you nourish your body and mind, feed your family, move from place to place, and attend to tasks at hand. For a great number of people, activities you may take for granted, such as attaining an education, buying healthy food, commuting to work, or keeping a clean house, represent great challenges. To experience firsthand the complex tests others face as a matter of course in their daily lives, try living without the amenities you most often take for granted. This can be a great experiment to undertake with your entire family or a classroom. Understanding working poverty can be as easy as endeavoring to buy nutritious foods with a budget of $100 for the week. If you own a car, relying on public transportation for even just a day can help you see the true value of the comfort and conveniences others do without. As you explore a life without things you may normally take for granted, ask yourself for how long you could endure. The compassionate gratitude that floods your heart when you come to fully realize your abundance may awaken pangs of guilt in your heart. Be aware, however, that the purpose of such an experiment is to open your heart further in gratitude and compassion. This awareness can help you attain a deeper level of gratitude that will allow you to savor and, above all, appreciate your life with renewed grace. From daily Om Love Always mudra |

i think love/light frequences are beginning to show amongst us humans too. this is what happened the day before yesterday on the bus on my way to work: i climbed up the upper deck of the bus and there i detected an irresistible smell of fresh coffee (I love coffee, my favourite)..so as i was naturally following the coffee smell trail i noticed an arabic lady drinking her coffee out of a beautiful little china cup..how lovely i thought to myself that she also bothered to take the china cup from home and sat down a little distance away so not to bother her with my presence..she was totally lovely looking i kept noticing ..i looked away and through the window for a second or two and the neXt thing i saW WAS her fair hand offering me a cup of cofffee..miracles don't stop to happen i thought to myself and of course i gladly accepted..i wondered how o earth could she planned for someone else and carry another cup..she hardly spoke a word of engilsh, we tried speaking but i only learned that sHE comes from saudi arabia, nothing else...right in the middle of us enjoying the coffee an angelic voice was started singing a tune somewhere at the back of where we were sitting..i looked a nd saw a young girl singing to herself ..she had a truly beautiful voice..maybe a professional singer, that's how beautifully she sang...the whole experience was magical.. i live in a really big town where people don't speak to each other much - particularly not on buses.. i wish it on all of you bestest |
Re: Empathy
Lightblue that is such a lovely story and an inspiring one too ..:wub2:
I recently lived something similar the other way around .. I was waiting for the bus and had opened a pack of dried mangos happily eating them .. an old lady was sitting on a bench and was looking at me with the eyes of a kid watching cakes in a pastry shop.. I handed the pack to her and had her take some ... The mango slices would stick together . So it happened the lump she took nearly emptied half of my pack .. I laughed and smiled at her buldging contented eyes .. She made my day really :) Love from me mudra |
