The number 13
Everywhere I go I see this number, been happening for as long as I can remember, if I turn on the tele and there is a ruby match the player with his back to the camera is number 13, if a bus goes past it's number 13 and so on. It's become a bit of a joke :original: I've also noticed that if it's not 13 it's 31.
I did have a message on another forum telling me all about it but I've lost it. It was saying that 13 is not the bad number that people think, i.e unlucky for some but that it's a positive number. Anyone out there know about it?? Anyone else have a number that follows them? |
Re: The number 13
I've read for many years that it represents the Goddess.

Re: The number 13
ON FRIDAY, October 13, 1307, hundreds of Knights Templar, the wealthy and secretive order of fighting monks, were rounded up, tortured and massacred for alleged crimes against Christianity “too horrible to contemplate”.
" The story, set in 1314, details how the Knights Templar, a group of warrior monks sworn to protect the Christian Holy Land, were captured and tortured at the end of the Crusades. The round-up of the Knights Templar on Friday, Oct 13, 1307 is believed to be the origin of the superstition of “Friday the 13th.” " http://hiramtyre.squarespace.com/hom...-de-molay.html Friday the 13th has been regarded as a day of deep misfortune ever since, but the Templars did not go quietly into history BTW I recommand you to read Focault's pendulum by Umberto Eco is a great book and deals with the Templar history among many other subjects |

Re: The number 13
There also used to be the 13 month lunar calendar. Many rituals and Sabbats were linked around this calendar. It's interesting to see what is cycling by accessing these dates.

Re: The number 13
well you certainly seem to be having a curse of the (number) won't say it lol!!
It may be something specific for you, generally things pan out and you will get the reason why you are suddenly seeing this number. I went down that route when the film 23 came out everything added up to 23 for me it was weird. I was getting the clock thing around a year ago, 11.11, 2.22, 3.33 it's good you can't get a 6.66 isn't it that would really freak me out lol!! But saying this 666 is in so many things and if it is not portrayed this way they reverse it 999 and add these number between numbers. They will not do a 13 room in hotels always make it 12 half i stayed in a 12 half room in Scotland last year, it was a weird week! |
Re: The number 13
I don't think it's a curse I think it's possitive. 13 is the number of change and I like change :original:

Re: The number 13
I used to think it was a curse and bad and tried hard not to see it but now I don't mind :original:
Psalm 13 A psalm of David. 1 How long, O LORD ? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? 2 How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me? 3 Look on me and answer, O LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death; 4 my enemy will say, "I have overcome him," and my foes will rejoice when I fall. 5 But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. 6 I will sing to the LORD, for he has been good to me. Don't like that bible stuff :original: |
Re: The number 13
Yes this number has been used as a negative number for too long, it does make you wonder why as someone commented before.
I always thought 7 was a lucky number for me, i was born in the 7th month, i was born the 7th child, lived in a number 7 house, 7th home i live in now, it is strange how these numbers make there way in to your life. |

Re: The number 13
I've just remembered a line from the "Pi" movie :
"Hold on! You're losing it. You have to breathe.Listen to yourself. You're connecting my computer bug with one you might've had and some religious hogwash. If you want the number 216,you can find it everywhere. 216 steps from your street corner to your front door, 216 seconds you spend in the elevator... When your mind becomes obsessed you filter everything else out and find that thing everywhere. 320, 450, 22, whatever. You've chosen 216 and you'll find it everywhere in nature." :fisch: |
Re: The number 13
