Bob Schulz of the We the People Foundation is organizing a Continental Congress to restore the U.S. Constitution.

It will take place November 9 - 22, 2009. The location has not been determined yet.

One is a Constitutional Convention, the other is a Continental Congress.

One is official and is Constitutional, I believe. It would be supposedly to amend the Constitution.

The other is not official, it is a grassroots project to restore the Constitution (including the Bill of Rights) that we have, which has basically been torn to shreds by the powers that be.

That's my take.

What do the rest of you think?

The Continental Congress 2009 looks very cool. There are a lot of people who are trying to help...and do the right thing.

A Constitutional Convention(Con Con) would be a total disaster...which is probably what the corrupt PTB want.

They're two entirely different things...

I'm interested in any information people have about this proposed Continental Congress in November of this year.

That is interesting that Obama is for changing the Constitution, well he did promise change didn't he?

I think we all need to align ourselves with the people of light who are working so hard to get back to our Constitutional rights or it will be taken away from us under the cover of darkness and we will awake to an unfamiliar world.

30 second TV advertisements for this are being worked on. The Foundation would have to pay for the air time unless network affiliates accept them as public service announcements (PSA's).

Wouldn't this be reinventing the wheel? We might end up with a wheel which looks like the Star of David. Who would decide which new document to use? This new document would not have a history or a track record. Is the United Nations Charter such a superior document? Does it not already supercede the U.S. Constitution? At this point...such a formulative effort would most likely be motivated by a hatred of Responsible Freedom...and would lead to anarchy...which would be quickly followed by tyranny. Is this what is being planned for the United States...and the world? The U.S. Constitution and the Red Letter Teachings of Jesus are two of the biggest enemies of the New World Order. Freedom vs Tyranny. Decisions...Decisions.

Later this year delegates representing the People of the fifty states will convene as a national assembly to publicly debate our Government's abuses of the Constitution and to consider practical strategies which can bring about compliance with our Freedom documents, not only in our government at all levels, but in our individual lives.

The Continental Congress 2009 will be an undertaking of historical importance as we follow the example of our Founding Fathers, to gather together and discuss the state of our Nation to restore the Light of Liberty.

I'm not sure about adding the words "in our individual lives" in addition to "government at all levels." It seems that compliance by the government at all levels is all that is called for...

Also it says Freedom documents, plural, so I wonder what that means, too...

No need to be sorry. My bubble burst a long time ago. The Constitution is neither holy nor perfect...but it doesn't need to be to do it's job.

Many people consider the Holy Bible to be a holy and perfect document. What do you think?

The costs of CC 2009 fall into five principal categories:

1. The cost of informing and educating the body politic about the Continental Congress: what it is, why it is being convened, what the issues are, what’s at stake and the importance of reaching a critical mass of people (5% or more) willing to consider the justification of the course of action recommended by the delegates to the Continental Congress 2009 to bring the government back under the control of the Constitution.

2. The cost of transporting, lodging and feeding up to 153 delegates.

3. The cost of licensed stenographers and preparing an official, written transcript of the proceedings.

4. The cost of live web casting of the entire proceedings.

5. The cost of a team of professional independent contractors required to organize and manage the myriad of tasks required for a successful Continental Congress 2009.

6. Contingencies: special AV equipment, transportation costs for delegates who need financial assistance, service fees, overruns, etc.


Our best estimate of are as follows:

$1.3 million for Media Buys for July thru October.

$100K for event sponsorship (Freedom Keeper events that will help leverage awareness).

$300K for lodging and meals for delegates and staff.

$50K for stenographic services.

$600K for live Web Casting.

$200K for ten (10) Independent Contractors for six (6) months.

$300K for contingencies and miscellaneous logistics costs.

I absolutely 100 % agree with what you are saying here. What we have now is of no value as it has been "cancelled out" several times over. Look at all the laws that have been changed over the years. Doesnt mean anything because Washington DC is not held accountable to it

I do believe that one should be a natural born citizen of the United States of America to be president though. So that there are no conflicts of interest in their rulings. Like that would change their minds............But its all we the people have.

I say we must enforce the original writings and it needs to apply to all states and if washington DC is not truly a state........IT NEEDS CHANGING

I believe that the outcome of this project will be to organize the American people to withdraw financial support of the government in the form of taxes as a means of creating a peaceful revolution to restore our Constitution and Bill of Rights into operation and begin to take back our country. :cup: :original:

The location has now been determined. It will be at the Pheasant Run Conference Center in St. Charles, Illinois (28 miles west of Chicago).

National Delegate Elections will be October 10.

Again, this is to restore the Constitution, not change it.

U.S. citizens can vote for delegates to the Congress by mail-in. (Some states also have walk-in voting.) Read the profiles of the nominees for your state, then fill out the voter registration form (you'll need a Notary) and ballot and postmark by October 10.

I'm wondering whether the Congress will take place, because they are way behind in funding. But I see the website has added information about Purpose, Format, & Outcomes, with no mention of a possibility of cancellation due to lack of funding. Here is the link:

Alex Jones is not talking about this, and I can't find any support anywhere on the web for this except in the Comments on Infowars.com news articles. Also, they're way behind in funding, with only 2 1/2 weeks to go.
