Re: Step up or "Thanks for all the fishes"
I think people put too much into the word "magick". I have experience in many areas of energetics and have known many very adept at the arcane arts. The movie "The serpent and the rainbow" is pretty good about explaining the power of some to affect others who do not believe. It is based on one man's account of his experiences when he ran afoul of a Voodoo priest.
Magick is simply intention put into action via energy. To hate someone with a focused energy sends a poisonous barb their way, and if they are not shielded can cause many problems. There are entities who look for open doors and opportunities to harass and possess (not the usual outcome) a soul for the energetic benefits that entity is seeking. People are especially vulnerable when they feel the safest like behind a computer screen or watching tv and hypnotized by it's effects on their brains. They love to feel that adrenaline rush, but what else loves that rush? Or, sexual energy displayed in entertainment that opens doors. Or, rage energy people feed into while getting into a movie that also opens doors. When someone does not like you or wishes you ill, you can often feel that intention. To then have that person purposefully seek to offend you via a very negative image for that split second there could be a crack of emotion that opens the door for a barb of ill intent. It is very much like the "evil eye" warded against by many who remember the old ways. There was a very good reason for those wards and the community looked very badly upon anyone who employed those tactics to cause harm. Magick, energetics, prayer is all about controlling ones self and their desires. Yes, if you buy into some aspect you are vulnerable to it, but I can assure you that many a believer was made who at one time did not believe in the power of energetics for both good or ill. If you are not spiritually trained you are very much a sheep and open to whatever intentions are out there. I find it rather interesting that so many here seem to buy into the 3d aspect of this world and are not tuned into the energy signatures which are so prevalent and negative these days. Acting like nothing can harm you if you don't buy into it or see it a certain way is not wise. It makes me think of a blind and deaf person who, since they cannot see the traffic in the street or hear it act as though they can walk wherever they want and would think anyone were a fool who said you need to be aware of the cars going down the street. "Oh, I don't see those cars going by at 40 mph / kph so I can just walk across the street." You would not do that, and yet this whole thread is replete with such examples regarding ill intent (magick, prayer, energy) behind a hideous image sent to a member whom the sender has been at odds with on various places within the forum. Intention is everything for the one behind it, and being aware of it is wise. Unified Serenity |

I know you're out there. It's almost like a "Matrix" thing. I think I can say for everyone here that we don't want any of you slamming a good thread down. I think we have done well considering we are forum underlings discussing several highly charged topics over here trying to instill some real originality in this forum. Unless you all prefer something else? You have the "Power". I can only hope we are respecting that.

Re: Step up or "Thanks for all the fishes"
LionHawk thank you for taking the time to answer me. This is how I see it from my own experience.
We are responsible for our own Universe . The way we adress our universe is what shapes it . From victimhood we can raise to full responsability . As we do raise in responsability each individual universe changes and the common Universe itself that we co-create changes . Our attitudes are the reflection of the responsability we take . The I am is your soul foundation ..Your unlimited self that encompasses all there is in Oneness. From victimhood to total responsability there are many echelons through which you will see things and take actions .As you move along the things that you once saw will look entirely different to you and the actions you will take will be different too. Each one of us is somewhere on this ladder of consciousness. To grow in consciousness we have to tackle with the mind ... understand that our thought patterns ...our attitudes create an effect around us .When the matters of the mind are understood and brought to a stand still we are left as pure souls and we are aware of our selfless presence in the NOW . We know we are actors here endorsing a role and at the same time we know and are aware we are not limited or fixed by these . We then experience our infinity . Love is an inherent quality of the soul for as it grows in consciousness it experiences more and more being at One with all there is ..with the whole of creation . The ultimate truth is the soul itself and Love is it's foundation . This is where the ultimate peace lays too. Love Always mudra Quote:

I guess as this thread on and we are all here carrying talking and growing in wiseness and wisdom this is what will happen as we reach oneness ....
With Love Always mudra What's Your Name, Again? Two elderly ladies had been friends for many decades. Over the years they had shared all kinds of activities and adventures. Lately, their activities had been limited to playing cards a few times a week. One day when playing cards, one looked at the other and said, "Now don't get mad at me. I know we've been friends a long time, but I just can't think of your name. I've thought and thought, but I can't remember it. Please tell me what your name is." Her friend glared at her. For at least three minutes she just stared and glared. Finally she said, "How soon do you need to know?" |

I appreciate you considering it. It would be well worth starting a thread on that topic . Maybe that before stepping up we should all learn to bow . It reminds me of this story: The Best Teacher Ever -- Author Unknown There is a story from many years ago of a primary school teacher. Her name was Mrs. Thompson. And as she stood in front of her 5th grade class on the very first day of school, she told the children a lie. Like most teachers, she looked at her students and said that she loved them all the same. But that was impossible because there in the front row, slumped in his seat, was a little boy named Teddy Stoddard. Mrs. Thompson had watched Teddy the year before and noticed that he didn't play well with the other children, that his clothes were messy and that he constantly needed a bath. And, Teddy could be unpleasant. It got to the point where Mrs. Thompson would actually take delight in marking his papers with a broad red pen, making bold X's and then putting a big "F" at the top of his papers. At the school where Mrs. Thompson taught, she was required to review each child's past records and she put Teddy's off until last. However, when she reviewed his file, she was in for a surprise, Teddy's first grade teacher wrote, "Teddy is a bright child with a ready laugh. He does his work neatly and has good manners...he is a joy to be around." His second grade teacher wrote, "Teddy is an excellent student, well liked by his classmates, but he is troubled because his mother has a terminal illness and life at home must be a struggle." His third grade teacher wrote, "His mother's death has been hard on him. He tries to do his best but his father doesn't show much interest and his home life will soon affect him if some steps aren't taken." Teddy's fourth grade teacher wrote, "Teddy is withdrawn and doesn't show much interest in school. He doesn't have many friends and sometimes sleeps in class." By now, Mrs. Thompson realized the problem and she was ashamed of herself. She felt even worse when her students brought her Christmas presents, wrapped in beautiful paper and tied with pretty ribbons, except for Teddy's. His present which was clumsily wrapped in the heavy, brown paper that he got from a grocery bag. Mrs. Thompson took pains to open it in the middle of the other presents. Some of the children started to laugh when she found a rhinestone bracelet with some of the stones missing, and a bottle that was one quarter full of perfume. But she stifled the children's laughter when she exclaimed how pretty the bracelet was, putting it on, and dabbing some of the perfume on her wrist. Teddy Stoddard stayed after school that day just long enough to say, "Mrs. Thompson, today you smelled just like my mom used to." After the children left she cried for at least an hour. On that very day, she quit teaching reading, and writing, and arithmetic. Instead she began to teach children. Mrs. Thompson paid particular attention to Teddy. As she worked with him, his mind seemed to come alive. The more she encouraged him, the faster he responded. By the end of the year, Teddy had become one of the smartest children in the class and, despite her lie that she would love all the children the same, Teddy became one of her "teacher's pets." A year later, she found a note under her door, from Teddy, telling her that she was still the best teacher he ever had in his whole life. Six years went by before she got another note from Teddy. He then wrote that he had finished high school, third in his class, and she was still the best teacher he ever had in his whole life. Four years after that, she got another letter, saying that while things had been tough at times, he'd stayed in school, had stuck with it, and would soon graduate from college with the highest of honors. He assured Mrs. Thompson that she was still the best and favorite teacher he ever had in his whole life. Then four more years passed and yet another letter came. This time he explained that after he got his bachelor's degree, he decided to go a little further. The letter explained that she was still the best and favorite teacher he ever had. But now his name was a little longer - the letter was signed, Theodore F. Stoddard, MD. The story doesn't end there. You see, there was yet another letter that spring. Teddy said he'd met this girl and was going to be married. He explained that his father had died a couple of years ago and he was wondering if Mrs. Thompson might agree to sit in the place at the wedding that was usually reserved for the mother of the groom. Of course Mrs. Thompson did. And guess what? She wore that bracelet, the one with several rhinestones missing. And she made sure she was wearing the perfume that Teddy remembered his mother wearing on their last Christmas together. They hugged each other, and Dr. Stoddard whispered in Mrs. Thompson's ear, "Thank you Mrs. Thompson for believing in me. Thank you so much for making me feel important and showing me that I could make a difference." Mrs. Thompson, with tears in her eyes, whispered back. She said, "Teddy, you have it all wrong. You were the one who taught me that I could make a difference. I didn't know how to teach until I met you." Love Always mudra |

Re: Step up or "Thanks for all the fishes"
Well Mudra, I think I see where I am getting confused. Terms. What I call reality or a reality you call a Universe. A misunderstanding.
As offered by Wikipedia, the following; Reality, in everyday usage, means "the state of things as they actually exist."[1] Literally, the term denotes what is real; in its widest sense, this includes everything that is, whether or not it is observable or comprehensible. Reality in this sense includes being and sometimes is considered to include nothingness, as well. By contrast, the term existence is often restricted solely to being (compare with nature). The Universe comprises everything that physically exists, the entirety of space and time, all forms of matter and energy, and the physical laws and constants that govern them. However, the term Universe may be used in slightly different contextual senses, denoting such concepts as the cosmos, the world, or Nature. So to me a Universe is already in existence and my reality is my perception of that Universe depending on my awareness field. That is how I define it. I don't think I am creating a Universe simply because I am a soul residing in this one for the purposes of soul growth. If I was to be creating a Universe, I wouldn't be here. So if I take the word "reality" and swap it with the word "universe," then what you are conveying makes better sense to me. Takes the confusion out of it. And not to be argumentative here, but I don't think we have to be victims to claim full responsibility for ourselves. I will agree however that we should claim responsibility for all aspects of whatever hood aspects that we might endeavor in. You either claim responsibility or you don't. I don't think it is something you raise as that is an analog term. To be or not to be isn't a question full of gray. To raise in that context creates gray. It only creates more confusion. This doesn't have to be complicated. It isn't complicated but we make it sound more complicated by using terms that only make us sound sophisticated. The truth is what it is and that is something we can complicate by confusing the terminology to sound sophisticated. Now if that doesn't confuse the hell out of everyone. ahhaha Also to try and manipulate your own mind to transcend the mind is the battle in your own mind. It's called the rational mind. It is the programming we were taught. But that is not to say we can't reside and operate in the mind of our hearts. The rational mind doesn't reside there. So if you want to connect to oneness that is where you will connect. If you are trying to raise into oneness, then you are using your mind that of your brain to transcend that into a virtual place that your mind has made up. Such as a universe it created. If you reside in your heart you will find that the Universe is already provided for you and you don't have to create another one. That is the dis connect. If you are trying to "raise" into oneness, that tells me that you are using the mind above your shoulders instead of the one in your heart. You don't have to raise into anything in your heart. It is already. "To be or not to be." This reminds me of a story. I had a friend living in Arizona. His name was Larry. A real gentleman. Top class type. He also had a website and that was how I met him. He had worked for several companies and made them tons of money in the Sales Industry. As it turns out he was also an information junkie with the medical and metaphysical subjects. He posted a lot of that stuff on his website. Anyways, he married a woman from Europe who was a chocolateer, nutritional expert, amongst other things, who was also an information type junkie. When they first met, the sparks just flew since they had a lot in common. They appeared like such a dynamic loving couple doing all these things that integrated business and the spiritual. They were always taking booster courses on the spiritual and business and became so mentally occupied that their hearts short circuited. Well, one day I get this call. Not a good one. Larry was basically in tears. Now if you can imagine an older gentleman in tears is not something anyone would want to see. Come to find out their marriage wasn't what it appeared to be either. She had basically thought that Larry was loaded since he made all this money for other companies and she thought if she married him that she could have Larry put her in her own Chocolate candy business. She basically used him because of her own insecurities. She had a lot of heart blockages from her past and even though they tried to work on them, they both got lost with the battle in their minds, never realizing that all they had to do was find their heart's mind. Always trying to rise up and succeed in whatever they were doing. Always failing. And what he described as a marriage was something totally opposite as to what I would call normal in any sense of the word. They never once even went to bed in all of their marriage. She basically used him for security and citizenship. To this day he refuses to look into his heart despite every course, every book, and every heart ache he endures. Always wanting to rise into oneness in his own mind and never finding what he has been seeking because he has trapped himself and thinking he could rationalize it with the rational mind. Sad story. This story is not uncommon as it is a story based in duality and not in oneness. To this day they both sound like tape recorders always using second hand stuff to explain their "rational reasoning." Sounds almost something like you'd watch on the Twilight Zone. Enough of my ramblings. Just thought it would be a good example as to what happens with this kind of thing. Okay, thanks Mudra for your response as I did make some progress there. Respectfully |

I would very much like to bury this hatchet. And given the title of the thread, I think this is the proper place to do it. Tango, You and I got off on the wrong foot from day one. We can use the term reality if that is a more accurate one for you . I completely agree with you when you say that mind should 'nt be manipulated to transcend it . One can indeed run in circles by being in one's mind and it will get you nowhere as a soul . That it is not through a mental process that you reach your foundation as a soul is perfectly clear to me . You already are a soul and that is all you are so yes to keep it simple it is as you say either " to be or not to be ". The image of a ladder to raise into oneness is only an image and should'nt be taken literally . We as souls are in the center of our own reality . The Heart of our reality is us a souls . You use the term rational mind for it if I understand you well . That is fine too. Finding that center or bring it to your awareness.. finding your true heart .. your foundation as a soul and then living by it is I believe the soul 's journey . The journey to me is one of Love for when you realize you are at the center of your own reality then you can take responsability for all that is that comes to you . The following poem is very close to what I am trying to convey . I would only have replaced the words " remember " by know because I believe that saying that we have a soul is misleading . We are souls always . Soul (by Eric Galla) Close your eyes, To see with your heart, Close your ears, To hear with your heart, Forget your mind, And think with your heart. For your heart will see, When your eyes fail, And your heart will hear, When the voices are confused, Your heart has the answers, When your mind falls short. Remember your heart, For it is the key to love, Remember all love, For love is the key to your soul, Remember your soul, For it is your Foundation. Respect to You LionHawk mudra |
