Here is something strange that always happens with me.
I meet a girl we have a relationship might be for a few months or might be years, then we split up and with out fail the next man along is the one they have been waiting for. Marriage/babies etc follow.
It's happened so many times that's it's become a bit of a joke.
I say I am like Sam Beckett from Quantum leap, I leap into someones life sort them out in some way and they are then ready to meet Mr Right.

Bit like always the bridesmaid never the bride

Oh well not to worry :original:

I'm not quite sure if there is any single person who is mr. or mrs. right. Human attraction is based pretty much on a few different factors and is almost always predictable if not entirely a science in itself.

For a woman to be attracted to a man it is not based on his soul it is based on his attitude and the way he conducts himself which can be changed pretty easily with minimal effort.

Woman are inevitably hardwired to be attracted to men who have four characteristics ;

1. Ability to emote - The ability to react emotionally to different scenarios, if he's in a club and someone spills he's drink he gets a pit peeved off. etc.
2. Protector of loved ones - This one speaks for itself.
3. Leader of men - The mans man who is not afraid to voice his opinion and get things done. Has the confidence and charisma to influence other men.
4. Pre-selection by other woman - If she see's you with a couple of woman with your arms around them having fun or any other similar scenario.

Any man with these four qualities is "Mr. Right". There is no deviating from this as it is a natural survival hardwired trait shared by every single human being on this planet.

Human attraction is entirely physiological and psychological in nature. This is a primordial instinct which stems from the times when human beings lived in tribes. And it hasnt changed one bit since then.

If you want to get mrs right you have to be mr right.

Cheers Piers will look forward to it
Thing is I have had more than my fair share of girlfriends, but that makes it more weird that they all meet the love of their life just after me.

Susan I know what your saying but it happens every time, and I'm sure it's not me making Mr Right turn up right behind me.

Oh well at least they are all happy :original:

This isnt being sexist or anything it is just a fact and of course information like this might seem a tad controversial because it could easily be used to take advantage of woman, which i dont condone in the least. And a fact that a lot of woman will be unwilling to admit. But thats just the way it is, calling a spade a spade.

I am at this stage of my life that for me a man must be spiritually evolved and evolving...I know that I wouldn't be able to be in a relationship where I know what is going in this world and he doesn't even want to know because is not interested in it at all. I noticed that I enjoy less the company of my female friend of many years, because she "is not interested in that stuff", and likes watching certain stupid programs on TV or soap operas. we are drifting apart....

Here’s my comment on Jack’s post (no offence Jack just my personal view) :-

I agree that probably there isn’t any single person who is mr or mrs right. It’s likely that for all of us there would be a variety of people out there who we might be attracted to.

Regarding the four characteristic’s Jack states that women are inevitably hardwired to be attracted to:-
1.Ability to emote - The ability to react emotionally to different scenarios, if he's in a club and someone spills he's drink he gets a pit peeved off. etc.

I would not be attracted to someone who continually reacts emotionally to scenarios by getting peeved off. This would make me think that the person was unable to discern between dispositional qualities and situational factors. Situational factors, like the name suggests, are factors present in a given situation (like spilling a drink). They are the causes for a behavior: Slippy glass, shaky hand due to an illness, distraction due to worry about someone close being ill, a hemorrhoid flare-up, worry about financial difficulties etc.

Dispositional qualities are qualities which are characteristic of the actor. They define who he or she is: a nitwit, a jerk, clumsy, an arrogant, selfish, no-good, low-down scumbag who ought to be obliterated from the planet.

Someone who fails to give others the benefit of the doubt when a mistake is made by automatically assuming that they are a bad person, clumsy, no good etc would NOT be attractive to me.

2.Protector of loved ones - This one speaks for itself.

Yes I would be attracted to a person with this quality

3.Leader of men - The mans man who is not afraid to voice his opinion and get things done. Has the confidence and charisma to influence other men.

A man would not NEED to have these qualities for me to be attracted to him. A hermit would be fine also.

4. Pre-selection by other woman - If she see's you with a couple of woman with your arms around them having fun or any other similar scenario.

It would be irrelevant to me whether other women were attracted to a man I was attracted to. Furthermore if I was attracted to a man that was flirting with several women it would set alarm bells ringing for me. I would have to check out if he was a player, egotistical, into one night stands because I am NOT attracted to men like that.

I've read plenty of stuff also on what attracts men to women. I don't score well on a lot of the must have qualities etc. The last thing I'll be doing is changing to fit what men want. I'm happy to be me as I am now this moment and if no man is ever attracted to me well so be it. :original:
Kind Regards
Helen.

I don't really mean to disarm what you said. In many ways there is more truth in it that I and supposedly many women would want to admit.
Nevertheless, I can easily sum up such a list for men, or for me for that sake, as well.

1. Must looks acceptable, how else are you going to sleep with her?
2. Must somehow appreciate, understand, respect, adore, either or all.
3. Must be mother and whore. Nothing wrong with that. Go figure.
4. May never allow to be completely be figured out or will be dropped like a hot potato.

Now, I've got a list that I may not fully respect, but something that, if the words were not so harsh, can agree with. (Alright, it's my list, tell me if you agree or not.)

But hey, Burgundia has made a valid point. If those 4 points are fulfilled, here I go, I can live with and love anybody, proven fact indeed. Is it healthy and does it make her Mrs. Right? No, because I love to exchange things beyond what's commonly understood as 'value of a relationship'.

This is where it gets interesting though, if I combine what you said with what was said earlier "love men less and understand them more, understand women less and love them more" it ends up either as a complete contract between partners i.e. "We agree to fake love for each other so we both get the gains of it." Or in fact it's a matter of "We recognise these basic necessities but beyond them our love is infinite and unconditional."

Can it be unconditional if the list is fulfilled? I'm not sure, they are conditions in a sense but I wouldn't be surprised if both is true.

I might not have found the right words to get this across, indeed I'm sure I failed miserably, but maybe someone gets it anyway.

Be that as it may, let the ladies speak... and I do hope you gals are honest.

I’ve got a dog Swanny and she’s lovely, a great wee friend to me but she has some shortcomings in comparison to a man:-

Men only leave two feet tracks on the floor after a muddy walk
Men don’t eat turds on the sly
Men can open their own cans
It can be fun to dry off a wet man
Men don’t have dog breath all of the time
Men don’t have to play with every man they meet when you’re out for a walk
