I suspect one of the following possibilities BROOK . . . .

Something as momentous as the dates quoted - be it a global decision to control the water supply or affect the air we breath.

or

The advertising hype for the latest 'The Aliens Are Here' movie.

or

A gimmick to grab everyone's attention.

or

The new fossil they found which is 47 million years old, will prove that we aren't what we've been lead to believe we are.

Other than that, I guess we'll just have to wait and find out that we've been sucked in once again by advertising.

Sunshine Coast eh, just down the road a bit from where me and the missus are in Blackbutt. Well probably just a tad further than down the road.

Did you get through the recent drought breaking rain unscathed?

Be warned jross, some of the patrons of the Avalon Lounge can act a bit strange at times - drinking fruity drinks and get the umbrelly thingies stuck up their noses, or falling asleep and sliding under tables. There have been some pretty strange animals pop in from time to time also.

Just keep your eyes open - and look over your shoulder often.

Apart from that, we're a pretty happy-go-lucky (and sometimes rowdy) crowd.

why thanku, yes got through the rain well, 110mm, im lucky as my place does not flood tho the bridge down the road goes under. Blackbutt u say...Im actually a Kiwi not that that means anything but love the coast. Im close to Imbil if u know where that is? how far u away? kms?

We're Kiwis too jross, been here 14 years and love it. Although with the rain we've had recently we felt we were back in NZ. We first lived in Beerwah near the Glass House Mountains not far from Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo. We are currently about 150km north-west of Brisbane. If you look at this weather map, you'll find Blackbutt up towards the top left.

DEAR DIARY: DAY 1
All packed for the cruise ship -- all my sexiest dresses and make-up. Really
excited.

DEAR DIARY: DAY 2
Entire day at sea, beautiful and saw whales and dolphins.
Met the Captain today -- seems like a very nice man.

DEAR DIARY: DAY 3
At the pool today. Also some shuffle boarding and hit golf balls off the
deck. Captain invited me to join him at his table for dinner.
Felt honored and had a wonderful time. He is very attractive and attentive.

DEAR DIARY: DAY 4
Won $800.00 in the ship's casino. Captain asked me to have dinner with him
in his own cabin. Had a
Luxurious meal complete with caviar and champagne. He asked me to stay the
night, but I declined. Told him I could not be unfaithful to my husband.

DEAR DIARY: DAY 5
Pool again today, got sun burnt, and went inside to drink at piano bar for
rest of day. Captain saw me,
Bought me several large drinks. Really is charming. Again asked me to visit
his cabin for the night. Again I declined. He told me if I did not let him
have his way with me he would sink the ship. I was shocked.

DEAR DIARY: DAY 6
Today I saved 1600 lives..............Twice.
