In this video blog from a young woman in Conception, Chile see says at the 2 min 20 sec mark about being awakened and looking out her window and the sky was changing colors during the quake. She calls it surreal.

Re: Massive earthquake strikes Chile
If the sky was changing colors then that sounds like Haarp. Ironically when I was in Costa Rica last week they dedicated a full page of the newspaper to Haarp technology and its capabilities. I was shocked to see that article to say the least!

I found this Chile TV progam about HAARP posted January 21st but I don't understand a word. It looks like mainsteam TV so I guess many people over there are aware of wheather warefare and that the sky changing colors before an earthquake could be caused by HAARP. Note that it happened in the middle of the night so chances are there won't be any footage of the sky this time. There is also the possibility that these electromagnetic effects in the sky happen during natural quakes as well. |

Re: Massive earthquake strikes Chile
Water is receeding out of Hilo Bay around 11:30 am our time. Cloud of brown water on other side in Kona.
I'm so impressed with the civil defense system here. Police were even at gas stations while lines were wrapped around the corners with folks waiting to fill. Grochery store parking lots were full. I went and filled up after the rush, then to the store, the the bank to withdraw cash which they were recommending on the radio. Both planes and coast guard helicopters are flying around the coast lines monitoring the situation. The radio station was taking calls from folks situated around the island at different ocean view locations giving reports. Ironically the whales were still breaching off of Lapaeupaeu point. I also saw police cars situated at entrances to where the road went down toward the ocean. The public is being notified that the sirens will go off also at the all clear point. Radios were playing loudly at the gas stations so folks could monitor what was going on. Dumps were closed and all extra folks whose names were on the lists were notified around 6 am and put on alert as to what they were expected to do. It's like a well oiled machine out there. The public was asked not to use water due to low lying sewage stations in case there is a backwash. Meanwhile, the town looks deserted as everyone is off to high points to observe the event. One lone surfer was out in the water and they got that dude out. Many of the hotels are built right next to the water and could sustain damage. There is evacuation for some of those areas as well. My husband is in the thick of it with home bound patients and calling home to give reports. Meanwhile all is calm at the home front and I'm going out now to water the garden. :original: |

Re: Massive earthquake strikes Chile
Okay, what the heck is going on the last 48 hours, first it was Japan, then its Chile, now Hawaii? Add to the Haiti disaster not a month ago, I mean what is up with our planet, is this normal? I'd like to see the statistics for how often these things are happening in the world, has there been an exponential increase lately?

Raw LIVE Hawaii feed from Yahoo (residents? sitting on cliff (roadway) above beach): http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/up/play...26736&src=news Quake-triggered tsunami begins affecting Hawaii 14 mins ago HILO, Hawaii – A tsunami triggered by an earthquake in Chile has swept ashore in Hawaii. The extent of the damage was not immediately clear. But the initial waves did not appear to be serious, looking more like an extreme fluctuation in the tide than a giant tsunami. The wave began affecting Hilo Bay on the Big Island just before noon local time. Water began pulling away from shore, exposing reefs and sending dark streaks of muddy, sandy water offshore. Water later washed over Coconut Island, a small park off the coast of Hilo. The tsunami raced across the Pacific Ocean in terrifying force after the magnitude-8.8 quake hit Chile. Hawaii officials had ample time to get people out of the potential disaster area, and thousands were evacuated. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100227/.../quake_tsunami |

I used to think it was related to selective attention and also the fact that lower digits tend to be more frequent due to the simple fact that we humans prefer to work with smaller numbers and so we adjust the scales of the numbers we usually work with. But this 11:11 on the video has got my attention. Thanks for pointing that. |
