Norval you would know this... Is there a reference in the Bible that after the flood it was the first tme the stars were seen? I read this 35 years ago but cannot remember if it was in the Bible, the Apochrypha or another work... I have asked several but no result... Seeing as you believe in the cloud cover... maybe you have the source of the star comment?

A bit off topic, but, yes Zorgon, it is known to me. So far my data base search has turned up
nothing specific. In other words no direct statement of that being the case. Probably like many
known facts of the bibles message it is based on what else is said that is taken into context of the
topic being researched.

Funny thing about Venus's cloud covering. Scientists state that it is because of earth's
magnetic field we keep our atmosphere from being blown away by the solar wind.

Venus has a far denser atmosphere, is closer to the solar wind, and no magnetic field to
speak of. :mfr_omg:

Here's a story I found from 1865 about a trapper that saw something crash and what he found was a stone driven into the side of the mountain that had small compartments and Hieroglyhics written on it. I'm not sure if this is the info you were looking for Norval

I saw this weird shaped cloud the other day and snapped a pic of it with the camera on my phone. it looks like a twist towards the middle of the photo, kind of like a bow tie or a double helix from DNA.

There are the lenticular clouds that stay stationary over an area for days, while clouds pass it by, stationary despite the airflow and winds. There are the lenticular clouds that have been observed going the opposite direction to the prevailing winds.
