I am always amazed when I watch a drummer in full flight Dan. :shocked: His feet and hands are all moving in different ways and tempos and he obviously can't watch what each one is doing. :sweatdrop: I was particularly taken with his "cross hands" technique half way through that number. Fantastic. :original:

Years ago Dan, during the 1950s, I heard Ronnie Verrell on drums. He was playing with Ted Heath's Orchestra and man could he beat those skins. The only reference I could find on him and Buddy Rich was when they played against each other on the Muppets show. Buddy played himself, while Ronnie played Animal. The only clips I can find of the show claim they are playing at half speed - if that's the case, I'd like to see and hear them at full speed.

I was just listening to Coast to Coast, and Richard Hogland said that the satellite that was hit by the Russian satellite was used for large money transfers for government use....I wish I could hear it again. It was live..I hope others herd it and record it and post it here...it was fascinating!!:shocked: |

Yes HJ, Phew! I wish people would stop pulling fingers. It cleared the place out faster than a crocodile in a swimming pool. Tell you what though, they've left the bar open. Can you mix drinks? If you can mix 'em, I can drink 'em. Just keep an eye on me in case I slip under a table again. In the meantime, I'll go see if I can rustle up something to eat - I'm starving. On the way, I'll look out for the band too - some music wouldn't go astray - nor would some girls for that matter.

sorry BROOK I don't put much faith in Richard Hoagland, a lot of people like him, but I just don't see what he sees on the moon. So I probably won't believe his story on the satellite.

Hey this has to be a record, Dan's falling asleep before me! I'm just about to high tail it out of here heading home to spin that old Valentine's wheel. That's if I can find my shoes - kicked 'em off somewhere. They're easy to identify, one's brown and the other one's black - and I've got another pair at home the same.
