I don't get it.

I know some Masons in our community. I don't see them as the bad guys. They're very respectible individuals who work hard for their families and community. More so that the bunch of free-loaders who seem to stay enrolled in welfare and getting handouts.

What is the problem with being a Mason?

the outer rings of the masons
are probably without exception,
good guys from your local community

it is when,
you move up, inside their inner circles,
and, proceed to 32/33 and above,
that it is vastly different

it is similiar to priests in a church
somewhere in the hierachy, things alter/change & shift
into something that is vastly different
than the "outside ring"

it is only when a "brotherhood/or sisterhood"
is rotten at the core, that there is a problem
unfortunately, these things,
are just that, "rotten at the core",
eventually, the outer circles, start to walk away,
and, then, you are just left with what is truly rotten.

many masons/shriners/eastern star people
do amasing work, in their communities,
however, most of them, are in the outer ring,
and, are NOT very aware,
of what is truly rotten at the core

when they ask people to join, they do NOT tell them very much

many are tempted, to discover "the secrets"

the nature of most people, is to want to belong to something

Has anyone here every joined a fraternity while in college? This is exactly what the masonic lodge is. I am a 32° Mason. All lodges control their own agendas. Grand lodges are only in place to insure rituals are performed properly. If a rouge mason has malevolent intentions, however unlikely, any doings of this nature is not endorsed by the masons and in fact they would be thrown out of the lodge and black listed throughout the country. End of story. :wall:

Hey-- Fr '33' dom,

Re: { Masons love plants/flowers, esp. Roses, Sunflowers, Petals, Thistles, Tulips, etc

Masons love trees }

Well, doesn't the above describe more than half of all 'women' ???

I love all of the above plus 'stones' or stonework....

AND... I have a fetish for blonde people ! (You didn't mention that.... but it seems fitting here...)
PLUS, I love James Bond--- especially the new blonde one!

No "masonery" here---- I promise,
though it seems ---- and I've been having fantasies of moving to Scotland or Sweden lately.....

Another way to spot masons is that some have logos on their vehicles. I know people who do and they couldn't be any nicer.

I really don't think this thread makes sense either. It seems like a hit piece meant to scare people into fearing freemasons.

Hi eXchanger,

You always struck me as being one of the more 'level headed' members of the forum and so I was a little taken aback by your message.

I must ask you where you got your information from about the Freemasons and the church.

You describe the way things work so maticulously that you MUST have some sort of access to the truth.

Best regards,

Steve

I know a Mason and, in conversations, he was quite adamant that Masons never ask people to join - you have to approach them and the process starts from there.

Re: How to spot a Mason online and offline (part two)

you're supposed to ask three times if you can join, but you can also be invited. i agree with what exchanger wrote above, most masons aren't 'in on it' untill they get to a very, very high level, and have the right 'attitude', so to speak. i know several low level masons, and they are great, hardworking people who help the community.

You never get asked to join.

You have to approach them personally.

Free will, free choice.

Jenny.

no offense jenny, but i was invited to join last year. i said i didnt want to, and that was that. it surprised me, because i always thought you HAD TO ask.

Re: How to spot a Mason online and offline (part two)

I see.
It can happen sometimes a friend of a friend points to someone who would be a valuable member of a lodge. Yes that can happen but it is not the rule.

I am familiar with the Dutch Lodges and maybe there are differences in how they go about membership.
There are big differences between US lodges, Eastern EU lodges, UK lodges, Scottish lodges, Australian lodges imo.

No, I am not familiar with the higher degrees in masonery.:original:

Great if your running your own business, if you put in a tender for something and your the only mason the job is yours, and you used to be able to get off speeding tickets etc.

Just a shame most 'bad' people are likely to be masons.

and im sure we know the down sides of the Vatican. Im sure the core is pretty rotten there

Sounds like "Joe the Plumber" lingo has been put to good use throughout the presidential debates quite effectively, and continues to move forward in plain site!

I wonder how the "American People," no wait "We," I mean "taxpayers," Ok s***, who 'spoke' in the elections "the American People" or the "taxpayers" I forget who's who in speeches anymore. Anyway as long as the "American Dream" is still alive and well that's all that matters, wait is that "taxpayers" lifestyle desires or... I can't keep up with the "playground" lingo much anymore. Well cheers to the "Red, White and Blue" just in time for the "Holidays" or is that red, white and blue, for being "Patriotic"? I guess their are "Hallmarks" all over that will keep us in the "Season," but in the "event" it isn't spelled out in plain sight than I guess we'll just keep voting our conscious. After all we did 'pledge allegiance to the flag'... the one in schools... or was it the ones in courtrooms... s***, it was the style of flag behind the podiums and uniforms, I forget which rules go with which style and which ones provide definitions to which allegiance pledged. I guess proper "Diplomacy" comes into play somewhere in all of this but we'll just let the "People" decide, I guess it does depend on what 'angle' you view it in and what 'degree' of understanding you have acquired.

Even Thoth liked Circles and Angles.

Re: How to spot a Mason online and offline (part two)

Firstly..... the how to spot a freemason is utter cr4pola!! Not even close to the truth. There are means by which to identify them, but that original post was so far off the mark its not funny. To identify them, much like they identify each other, is via hand gestures, hand shakes, and words. Not via personality traits.

Freemasons have changed over the past 100 years. They are loosing power, and loosing numbers....and quickly!

I like many truth hunters have wondered what goes on behind those closed doors.... and unlike many other truth hunters, I actually joined the ranks to find out the truth. So now I am a freemason!

I was more than a little disappointed by what I found too. Not much goes on with that group anymore. Here is a rundown of my discoveries;
It is NOT a religion.
They do have monthly meetings. Usually to discuss what has happened over the last month, and what is on the agenda for the up and coming month. (which consists of bill payments for rent and other expenses, plus they discuss the use of additional funds which mostly goes towards charity.)
They do have rituals, rules and regulations..... however these are just ceremonial.
They do look out for each other, but same goes for members in any social group.

This day an age I see it as nothing more than the worlds longest lasting 'legal gang' which turned into a mellow social group.(or the basis of a perfect business model)
Its a group of people who have common interests, and have a mandatory test of moral and values before acceptance into the fold.

The majority of the members are actually really nice people who are upstanding members of society. However like any group of people, statistically there has to be a couple of bad eggs.
Unfortunately the bad eggs have a habit of making it to the top, and that is what society sees. Ie, ex-presidents of the U.S, or ex-prime ministers of Australia, etc.

After joining I actually changed my option about the majority of the freemason members, however as previously stated there are still a couple of bad apples that seem to wreck the entire barrel.

I am going to continually search for any truth that may be hidden, but I no longer expect to find too much.

So before you give me a verbal bashing about my actions, I say STFU! You all talk about “finding the truth” but how many others have put everything on the line to find out for certain?! I am now a freemason, and I can never leave….its the rules. I made a sacrifice to find out the truth…… are you doing your part?
