The idea that a prostitute is "villain-ized" yet a robot like this could become mainstream??? sickens me....

This is definitely a degradation to females. So.. why is it happening?

This is a cold, emotionless machine... definitely not a 10!

Maybe its the fluoride in the water that is making men crazy. Or maybe its the... Naw... no way.

Its the mans fault. Whew! :sweatdrop:

This is a sad state for both GENDERS....

being seen as a sex machine, is not new for women...

This is exactly how I felt....why is it always female dolls who are supposed to make a man's life more pleasurable? And it is always about sex, even if they say that not only...
Ans then another thought....it is all dehumanizing us....

That isn't exactly true... if you read the whole text, a male version is in the making as well... they will name it Rocky...

Not that it really matters, of course.

It's all about (un-)conscious dehumanization us, I agree.

Maybe some people need to go through all of this in order for them to have a rude awakening. Just like a dark night of the soul can bring you new ways of looking at things. I went through heavy soulsearching times... (er... but not with dolls and all :original:) and feel quite awake nowadays!

My advice would be: let's not give it too much attention. It's lowering our vibes!

Would it be worse or better if it was a real woman?

futureyes 01-11-2010 08:14 PM

Re: Sex robot Roxxy

a few weeks ago ... i read an article of a man in eastern canada ... who had been working on his 'she robot' for over a decade ... she was now complete ... the clip stated he built her to be his companion ... to cook and clean and such ... i don't recall how many sentences she could verbalize but it was plenty ...
her skin apparently was very soft to the touch ... that of almost human skin ... it also stated that she is a woman in every way ... but didn't expand further on that ...

after reading ... i observed the photo of this inventor sitting on the floor with his she companion ... he looked tickled pink of his creation ... she looked like a doll still ... her legs weren't even sitting natural ... he did write she wasn't quite perfect ... yet ...

after viewing this photo for a few minutes ... i felt such vacancy within it all ... that something very significant was missing in it ...
here this man thinks what he had created was the absolute all ... so proud and eager to live his days with her ...
her?

i thought ... is this what we're coming to ... overall it just felt truly sad ...

and yet ... i felt this is not where it ends ... when the bubble becomes too full of what is not real ... of distractions ... eventually it will go pop ...

As well it should. But again I ask the question...why is this happening?

Is it really that men are bad?

Okay, I read the thread and looked over the video. First, this was out several years ago on one of those 'Real Sex' episodes on HBO in the U.S.A. and other than the 'automated upgrades' this has been out for at least six or eight years, not that it's a great big deal.

Secondly, I see in the thread where comments are made suggesting that this is a further attempt to degrade the human condition in this way or that as though the PTD are in cahoots with this creepy inventor who CLEARLY invented this doll as a work around to compensate for his basic lack of social skills. I doubt it and seriously dude! Wouldn't you be better off in the long run working on yourself than building a robot?

Are there men out there with more money than sense when it comes to a product like this? The market will decide.

In the mean time, what about all those guys that buy this $9,000.00 sex doll on credit and after a year or two, can't make the payments? Will the repo man come after the doll? Will the offender develop a psychological attachment to this doll and try to make a run for it?

Will we see a cable show where they are chased down?

Did anyone else see the Twilight Zone episode where the man was placed on a prison planet for a crime and was given one of these for companionship?

What about the implications of use within an existing relationship?

Would they become so advanced with their artificial intelligence that they would desire emancipation? would they use their built in wifi to call for help? Would the wifi work like Amazon and have a message pop up that reads: "Those who did this with the doll, also enjoyed this".

Crazy stuff...:chuff:

You just got a bunch of respect points for that.

Its time we all recognize the feminist movement for what it is and for what it has become. It was a huge fraud and has caused more damage to families than all the wars combined. And the kicker is, women are less free now than they were before.

Huge mistake, HUGE.

Although i agree with alot of what you said....i would not agree with all of it...

The responsibility is NOT GENDER BASED

The responsibility is NOT GENDER BASED

I for one enjoy the company of an intelligent woman who is able to take responsability for herself and not blame everything on men while she sucks his bank account dry. While this is not so for every woman it has become the pervasive attitude of women in our country.

The first ones to blame are the PTB/NWO. They are the ones who funded it with books, magazines, TV shows and adds. Free yourself from men. Be your own women. Be strong and fight. I even bought into it for a while. it sounds sooo good, what could go wrong. We were all duped and its time we get responsible and realize it.

We all need each other and any attempt to escape it will only end in tragedy.

It may look realistic, it may feel realistic, but will it enjoy Sex in the City...?

...and do you have to buy her three friends as well for it to work properly??

i dont think it degrades women as much as degrading the men who will go out and buy one!
but then i dont really think that this will be anything more than a stupidy expencive stag night gag so.......in which case the money would be better spent on something more worth while, like helping the local homeless folk, or put towards helping to feed the 1 in 6 folk that are starving to death.

edit for silly spelling doh!

Thailand is much cheaper and she will be a better cook :naughty:

I don't see a problem with the dolls, if they save someone from being lonely then what's the problem??

Fairplay Swanny, after all, how many of us use our computers as a bit of company, or radios, tv and satelite systems. All built with electronics and cannot work without some human interaction, but we still do it, because as humans we need company.
