I had a nice internet free break over the holidays. I went home (more literally than one might think,
i vacated my Clawson MI apartment and am currently at my sisters house now using some neighbor of her's unsecured wifi so i'm just popping in for tonight)
for the holidays and learned to do of all things sudoku puzzles! It kept me from going totally bonkers since i was adjusting from chain smoking cigarettes
as i did indoors in my old apartment to smoking once every 1-3 hours out in the frigid arctic air of northern MN which ranged from 20 degrees below zero (BRRRR)
to 20 above which while better than sub-zero is still below freezing!!!
Anyway the point being is that plenty can be said for stepping back from the computer and
doing a stupid puzzle, or playing a game of dominoes or even just staring out the window! :original:

Threads like this one are food for the soul! I couldn't have described my feelings any better than you did.

I only decided about a week ago that I should follow all the advice that resonated so strongly to 'go within'. I have stepped up my mediation practice, shut off the TV & being VERY selective what I listen to on radio.

I've begun what feels like the inner equivalent of climbing Everest, facing the fear feelings that have nagged at me for too long. Those that manifest as tension in my lower gut and solar plexus area I am learning to embrace whenever I become aware of them, no matter what I am doing.

Syncronicity is a wonderful thing. I just came across a video in a new thread that deals directly with what we are discussing here:

Gosh iv been feeling like this too, have decided to up my medatitve practice.
Also to just go with this feeling instead of fighting it (easier said than done!)

Alot of it could be that we're beginning to react from cabin fever. I'm already planning my early spring seed starts. I'm of the belief that the winter solstice marks the half way point through our winter, here in the carolinas... I know changes are taking place in about mid feb. most years anyway, as nature reveals. I'm observant of those first things that start to pop up in the ground. Others call weeds, I call vital energetic plants medicine. grin

Looking forward to my first spring tonic. :wink2:
