Freedom is not found in escaping "this" or possessing "that" . . .

"Blue Marble" - most detailed pictures of Earth EVER revealed by Nasa
http://visibleearth.nasa.gov/view_rec.php?id=2429 "This spectacular “blue marble” image is the most detailed true-color image of the entire Earth to date. Using a collection of satellite-based observations, scientists and visualizers stitched together months of observations of the land surface, oceans, sea ice, and clouds into a seamless, true-color mosaic of every square kilometer (.386 square mile) of our planet." Ah..what a beauty we have! What a home! What a Mother!... What a Freedom to heave THIS fixal point in the Universe! There is no other feeling exist - except to adore our beloved Tera. Must be saved! Unless your freedom turns into a creative realization, you will feel sad. Because you will see that you are free--your chains are broken, and you are no longer in prison; you are standing under the starry night, completely free. But where do you go?

Re: The Freedom
Freedom written by Khalil Gibran And an orator said, "Speak to us of Freedom." And he answered: At the city gate and by your fireside I have seen you prostrate yourself and worship your own freedom, Even as slaves humble themselves before a tyrant and praise him though he slays them. Ay, in the grove of the temple and in the shadow of the citadel I have seen the freest among you wear their freedom as a yoke and a handcuff. And my heart bled within me; for you can only be free when even the desire of seeking freedom becomes a harness to you, and when you cease to speak of freedom as a goal and a fulfilment. You shall be free indeed when your days are not without a care nor your nights without a want and a grief, But rather when these things girdle your life and yet you rise above them naked and unbound. And how shall you rise beyond your days and nights unless you break the chains which you at the dawn of your understanding have fastened around your noon hour? In truth that which you call freedom is the strongest of these chains, though its links glitter in the sun and dazzle the eyes. And what is it but fragments of your own self you would discard that you may become free? If it is an unjust law you would abolish, that law was written with your own hand upon your own forehead. You cannot erase it by burning your law books nor by washing the foreheads of your judges, though you pour the sea upon them. And if it is a despot you would dethrone, see first that his throne erected within you is destroyed. For how can a tyrant rule the free and the proud, but for a tyranny in their own freedom and a shame in their won pride? And if it is a care you would cast off, that care has been chosen by you rather than imposed upon you. And if it is a fear you would dispel, the seat of that fear is in your heart and not in the hand of the feared. Verily all things move within your being in constant half embrace, the desired and the dreaded, the repugnant and the cherished, the pursued and that which you would escape. These things move within you as lights and shadows in pairs that cling. And when the shadow fades and is no more, the light that lingers becomes a shadow to another light. And thus your freedom when it loses its fetters becomes itself the fetter of a greater freedom. Love Always mudra |

Jean-Léon Gérôme - "Selling Slaves in Rome"
This painting was removed from the thread about 8th March by GaiaLove as "not appropriate". Also, the comments (mine and those of Annemirri) explaining why this master piece of love and compassion toward women is so important were removed. I explained that the painting is accusing men for enslaving women through history as a tyrants. Their fascinating red clothes are a metaphor for them swimming in blood up to their necks. Than, the small sculpture in the center of the painting...It can be Mars, or some noble warrior, or maybe even goddess Athene, but the most important detail is the direction of the spear. It shows much, and in the classical painting such kind of details are giving additional meanings. That spear is directly judging the tyrants..Look at their gesticulations, such a hypocrisy and...fear from women, they do not understand women...their conscious is unclear! As a contrast, the woman`s body is shining, she is beautiful, but what is most important is that she is closing her eyes with the hand, and not some parts of her body, which would be an instinctive reaction. Eyes are windows of the soul: Yes, you can enslave my body, but you will never bye my soul, she says. Actually, she is free, and they are slaves! It is all about freedom...again. There is much more that can be told about this painting. But, somebody saw it as "not appropriate", because she is naked. Well, if someone can see some "sexuality' in this painting, as inappropriate, than it is really sad. Love&Respect http://static.cozop.com/imgdepot/6/8...pagiem.jpg.jpg |

Well, I feel like I am starting my relationship with Avalon. Thank you for wise and loving words, art, and beautiful songs. I supposed to have laughter but my heart has completely melted. I still have many pages to read, to watch, and listen. And I am afraid more tears to shed but this is what I need now.
I hope that I will not get another harsh treatment. :lmfao: :roll1: Love to you all, t&i [/FONT] |
