Re: The Freedom
We live in a world in which people are censured, demoted, imprisoned, beheaded, simply because they have opened their mouths, flapped their lips, and vibrated some air. Yes, those vibrations can make us feel sad or stupid or alienated. Tough sh.t. That's the price of admission to the marketplace of ideas. Hateful, blasphemous, prejudiced, vulgar, rude, or ignorant remarks are the music of a free society, and the relentless patter of idiots is how we know we're in one. When all the words in our public conversation are fair, good, and true, it's time to make a run for the fence."

Re: The Freedom
Fear arises through identification with form, whether it be a material possession, a physical body, a social role, a self-image, a thought, or an emotion. It arises through unawareness of the formless inner dimension of consciousness or spirit, which is the essence of who you are. You are trapped in object consciousness, unaware of the dimension of inner space which alone is true freedom.
- Eckhart Tolle http://sites.google.com/site/everyth...rbeauty/ib.jpg |
Re: The Freedom
To paraphrase and put a different twist on it, beings seem to be very uhappy when they do not have some possessions and some problems regarding the things they possess or wish to possess. They seem to be terrified of being nothing and having nothing but the holes between the particles that compose objects.
There are spiritual practices that restore the being's ability to have nothing but spaces, and wherein problems are conscious apparencies. cheers! gnosis |

Thanks for posting the Eckhart Tolle quote Oliver
We are formless before birth and after death we are once again un-manifest. So there is no need for worry, tell that to the ego:mfr_lol: If there was nothing to worry about the ego would invent something. Chris |

Re: The Freedom
I want to have the freedom to consciously know myself and consciously co-commune with others whether or not I associate with my body. To put it simply, the body is an option, not a fixation. It's in the works :original:

Re: The Freedom
Freedom and love go together. Love is not a reaction. If I love you because you love me, that is mere trade, a thing to be bought in the market; it is not love. To love is not to ask anything in return, not even to feel that you are giving something- and it is only such love that can know freedom.

Re: The Freedom
I wrote this for "I want you" thread, I hope it is right to post it here too. It is appropriate, at least with the first impuls I had writting it, I believe.
Love&Respect From the shadows they shall come, where Sun is in the sacred heart, naked and strong, lonely in love. Despair they won, and still going on, one eye is sad, the other is bad. Nobody knows them, nobody will know who the kids are, and why exactly them, but they will know what is to be known and what is to be down and how to be done. They choose the rose with the biggest thorn, from the pain of the souls they are born. Look at them with a crying eye, still joy for them, even they will die, high in the bluest sky, for you to say they are I. |
